1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, sliced into rings
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup medium grain rice
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon dry basil, crushed
In skillet cook beef, onion, pepper, garlic until browned; drain. Add rice; cook, stirring
constantly, for 2 minutes. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce,
basil, 1-1/2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover; simmer
25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir occasionally. Serves 4 to 6.
