Baked Chicken in Cream
1 c. flour
1-1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 chicken, cut up
1 stick butter or margarine
1 qt. half and half
Combine flour with seasonings; coat chicken with mixture.
In skillet, melt butter or margarine. Brown chicken pieces until golden. Place in 9 x
13-inch baking pan.
Stir remaining flour mixture into butter or margarine in skillet; stir until smooth. Add
half and half and cook, stirring
constantly, until slightly thickened. Pour over chicken in pan.
Place in preheated 350 degree oven and cook for 1 hour or until done. Serve with hot rice
or noodles. |
